Community garden part of the classroom experience
Growing up in Lebanon, Va., Mary Beth Tignor loved spending time outdoors, and tending her family garden was one of her greatest pleasures. “But, it was just an everyday garden,” said Tignor. “We did not practice organic gardening or rotate crops.”
