Marks House shelter gets a helping hand

Members of a youth group from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Boy Scouts from Troop 2103 in Lompoc delivered two 8-foot boxes to the Marks House shelter this week. Next week, the group, ages 10 to 17, will begin work on a raised, organic vegetable garden for the shelter at 203 North N St., said Chris Moody, shelter manager.
